Faith

I want to understand what faith is. Somehow we all have faith in a lot of things. Faith that we will wake up each morning and get to work/school/whatever we do the whole day, have lunch, go home, sleep, wake up and get to do it all over again. I think that’s faith. Is that faith in God or in our own abilities?

I think that is the faith that comes from the fact that we do it every day. We need to know that because we believe in God and His love for  us and we are not done with the goals that He has for us on this earth then we are able to wake up each morning and do His will? I choose to believe in God. In all that He has planned for us. Same way as a parent you are always looking out for your children, God does that and more!!

I have been yearning for that close relationship with God. The relationship where I can talk with Him daily and feel His presence all around me even in tribulations. I want to honor God in everything that I do and say.

If we confess that we are not happy, then that is where we will end up. I have had my share of fights and each time, I am never proud of what was said. Of hurting someone so close to you because you are angry at them. Is it worth it? We cannot take those words back even if we wanted.  Can I then say I have faith that I will have the chance to mend fences with the person I had a fight with?

The bible says:

Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Ephesians 2:8:For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
